Summer Book Club

Summer Book Club

Ladies,

For the past several years, we have celebrated summer together by participating in a Women’s Summer Book Club. For this year, I have asked women to give me their suggestions of favorite fiction novels, and we received some great ones that are part of this summer’s suggested reading.

The following books would be perfect for a good casual read any time this summer, so I hope you’ll join us as we enjoy them together.

The first two books have book discussion nights, so if you get a chance to read them, please come and be part of the discussion!

For Such a Time by Kate Breslin

Begins May 30th

Retelling of the Story of Esther – In 1944, blonde and blue-eyed Jewess Hadassah Benjamin feels abandoned by God when she is saved from a firing squad only to be handed over to a new enemy. Perhaps God has placed her there for such a time as this, but how can she save her people when she is unable to save herself? For Such a Time is a remarkably vivid look at the horror and deprivations that those of Jewish faith suffered at the hands of the Nazis during WWII.
