Here is your opportunity to volunteer this fall with inner-city school students. Complete the form and select where you would like to serve.
This after-school program, now in its fifth year, provides Bible lessons, mentoring, life skills, fun, food and relational support to 6th-12th grade students from John Marshall Middle and High School. Thursday afternoons l September 8, 2011 – May 10, 2012 Crossings Community Center (2208 W. Hefner Road)
Small Group leader (3:15-4:15 pm) Team with other adult volunteers in a small group to help students learn Christ-focused life and social skills. Curriculum and supplies provided.
General Administration Support (2:30-5:45 pm) Check-in students, prepare name tags, enter attendance, maintain supply inventory, check students out and assist club director and pastors when needed.
Provide Recipes Submit recipes for Cooking class to Missions/Outreach Ministry at pmillington@crossingsokc.org. All recipes should (1) be able to be prepped and completed within 45 minutes; (2) use common ingredients; and (3) be replicateable for students to prepare at home.
Free Time Activities (4:15-5:15 pm) Lead or assist other adults with structured free time activities for groups of 6-12 students over a five-week period.

WHIZ KIDS is a one-on-one, life-transforming, reading/tutoring program for inner-city elementary students held in neighborhood churches. Crossings partners with two Whiz Kids groups that meet on Thursday afternoons.
Join us at KIDS BIBlE CLUB, an afterschool program for inner-city 2nd-5th graders who attend Stanley Hupfeld Academy at Western Village (located off Hefner Road and N. Penn). Each week, the kids learn about Jesus, memorize Bible verses, sing songs, play games, and eat snacks. KBC meets Mondays, from 3-4:50 pm, 2-3 times monthly, beginning mid-September, ending mid-May.
