Mission, Vision, and Purpose

Mission Statement

Crossings Fitness Center is here to encourage and guide individuals to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit in their everyday lives. We want to enhance fellowship in an informal setting and provide a tool through which the community can experience Christian faith in a personal but non-threatening way.

Vision and Purpose

Our vision is to offer fellowship, support, and education to people who want to have an active and healthy lifestyle. We want to express that exercising is not only about working out the body, but it is also a path to emotional and spiritual health.

The Fitness Center and Gym are located next to The Venue on the southeast side of the building.

Wednesday: 5:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Sunday: closed

The Fitness Center and Gym are located next to The Venue on the southeast side of the building. Enter through the outside doors from the parking lot on the south side of the Fitness Center.

Fitness Center

Group fitness classes are a fun and motivating way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.

Group Fitness is a group of people exercising together as a part of a planned and structured program. The members of the class are guided through the entire routine by a certified instructor. Our classes are designed to meet the needs of all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced.

Group fitness classes offer many benefits:
  • They are motivational and exhilarating
  • They help you build a support network of people
  • They increase heart rate
  • They provide guidance and support of an instructor
  • They help you tone and shape muscles
  • They help you lose body fat
  • They increase strength, flexibility, and endurance
  • They relieve stress

Registration closes Sunday, July 6th at midnight. Cost for each class in this six-week session is $35.00 for Fitness Center members or $45.00 for non-members.

During online registration, you will be prompted to choose the member or non-member rate. If you are not already a member, check out the benefits of membership before registering for class.

Class Descriptions

Monday–Wednesday–Friday

Fitness Center5:45 a.m.-6:30 a.m. | Boot Camp Conditioning

Experienced fitness levels only. You can command power, strength, and agility with this military-inspired workout that will push you to your limits. As you maneuver your way through each workout, you’ll lunge, kick, crunch, run, and more for a full body workout. In the end, you’ll leave class feeling exhilarated.

6:45 a.m.-7:30 a.m. | Basic Training

In this class we will motivate you to push yourself to the next level! We will work on strength and endurance training that will push you to reach your optimal fitness levels and ensure lasting results. You will get a little bit of everything in this class. If you desire to be challenged, this class is for you, no matter what your fitness level is at this time (beginner – advanced).

9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. | Total Body Conditioning for Women

Reclaim your body and cross-train for improved overall fitness. We mix it up with cardio and weights to increase physical strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. This physical challenge will keep you coming back for more.

10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. | Senior Fitness

This class is a total-body senior workout program for active individuals. This class combines aerobic, flexibility, and strength training in a positive, energizing environment. We include exercises that are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. We incorporate a chair into the workout for standing and seating support, which enables you to push yourself as far as you want. Get ready for a head-to-toe workout!

12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. | Lunchtime Exercise (Monday & Wednesday only)

This class will help you increase endurance and strength by covering something different each day. Yoga, Circuit, Kickboxing, and Endurance Training will all be included in this class over your lunch break.

Tuesday–Thursday

Fitness Center5:45 a.m.–6:30 a.m. | Strength Circuit

The strength training circuit produces a total-body training effect for the development of strength, muscle, and mobility.

6:45 p.m.–7:30 a.m. | Cardio Blast

This workout uses bikes, steps, trampolines, jump ropes, kickboxing bags, and more to boost metabolism and burn fat through aerobic exercises that will kickstart your way to weight loss and better health.

9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. | Yoga

This class uses a system of physical postures and breathing techniques to promote health, bodily control, and mental well-being.

12:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. | Lunchtime Exercise

This class will help you increase endurance and strength by covering something different each day. Yoga, Circuit, Kickboxing, and Endurance Training will all be included in this class over your lunch break.

Saturday

8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | No Group Classes

Open for individual activities.

Guidelines

Fitness Center

Please Note:Crossings Community Church attendance and/or membership is not a requirement for participation in Crossings Fitness Center.

To promote a safe environment:

  • We ask all members to sign in each time they visit the facility. After the first time you register online for Fitness Center membership or classes, please stop by the fitness desk to fill out an application form and pick up your scan card. The card is used to check in whenever you attend a fitness class or use the the fitness facilities.
  • We encourage every member to attend an orientation session on how to use the equipment in the strength room and the cardio room. (If you have used strength and cardio equipment before, you may sign a waiver to opt out of the orientation.) Each member is also required to fill out a health assessment form.
  • Each member is welcome to bring guests to the facility. We ask members to accompany guests each time they visit.

    * Children under the age of 16 may not use the strength equipment at any time. While families are important to us, childcare is not available due to liability requirements. Please make arrangements for children ages 16 and under.

  • Because this is a Christ-centered facility, please dress modestly and use appropriate language.
  • If you have surgery while enrolled in a fitness class or as a member of the Fitness Center, you must bring a signed release from your doctor before resuming class or use of the facilities.

How to Get Started

Membership packets are available at the Fitness Center office or you may register online. Once you’ve completed the registration forms and an orientation on the equipment, you are welcome to use the facility during hours of operation. Fitness Center members also receive a $10.00 discount on Fitness Center classes.

  • Individual (twelve months–one year) – $120.00
  • Individual (six months) – $75.00
  • Individual (one month) – $20.00
  • Family (one year) – $200.00
    Fitness Center Family membership is only available in one year increments and is restricted to persons in your household who are 16 years or older.

Personal Training

We have certified personal trainers (for an additional fee) who are ready to provide you with the individual attention and expertise needed to help you achieve your fitness, strength, and weight-loss goals. Call now to schedule a private personal training session with one of our certified trainers! Package deals are available.

What is a Personal Trainer?

A personal trainer’s job is to assess your fitness level, set up a program for you, and keep you motivated. He or she will push you past your comfort level—something difficult to do on your own. A trainer also provides:

  • Guidance on reaching your goals
  • Education about strength training, cardio, and basic nutrition
  • Accountability
  • Ways to help track your progress

Fitness Center trainers, instructors, and staff are available to help you reach your goals of healthier living. We offer personal and group training, specialized training, Group Fitness Classes, and a strength and cardio room for your use.

Interesting Facts:This preacher’s kid grew up on the mission field, making his home in Korea, California, Wyoming, Texas, and the great plains of Oklahoma. In his 27-year coaching career and working for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Craig has used his love of athletics as a way of sharing the message of Christ with others. Craig’s resume is pretty impressive, but we can’t leave out that this athletic guru was named National Coach of the Year twice – first, by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, and second, by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Interesting Facts:Tiffany came to Crossings after serving 11 years as a collegiate basketball coach/professor. Her love for sports ministry began when she worked for Kanakuk Kamps in Missouri while in college and Camp Timberline in Estes Park, Colorado after college. Her greatest joy has been working with kids of all ages and seeing them find true balance in their lives when they choose to honor God with their talents. Tiffany loves spending time with her nieces and nephews and playing the Wii with her mom who is a legendary Wii bowler.
