This Christ-centered program is led by trained individuals who help participants heal from the hurts, habits and hang-ups in their lives, using the eight biblical principles found in the Beatitudes (from Matthew 5) and the traditional 12 Steps.

How does CR work?

The application of the Beatitudes and 12 Steps helps free participants from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors, while developing them spiritually. CR provides an opportunity to deal with the challenges of both the past and present.

Celebrate Recovery is for addicts, adult survivors, co-dependents and individuals struggling with disorders.

Celebrate Recovery Step Studies — Men’s and Women’s

This gender-specific, 10-month study deals with mixed recovery issues that include any hurt, habit, or hang up. The study is based on the 12 Steps with their Biblical Comparisons and the 8 Principles that are based on the Beatitudes. Four participant guides are designed to create movement through the steps as each person is on a healing journey that creates new understanding and hope through the work of the Holy Spirit. The Step Study enables each individual to explore the root cause or causes of their hurts, habits, or hang-ups which brings new freedom in Christ. Studies are open for the first six weeks (until the first participant guide is completed).

What exactly are hurts, habits and hang-ups?

All of us face obstacles in our lives that we have had a hard time overcoming. In CR, we call these issues hurts, habits and hang-ups. These can range from control issues, anger, depression, family dynamics, abusive relationships and addictions. Oftentimes, we are in denial and neglect to seek the help we need to heal from these challenges.

Can anyone come to CR?

Anyone and everyone over 18 is welcome to come to CR to experience the healing that takes place in a Christ-centered environment. We believe there are no individuals that walk this earth who have not dealt with some type of hurt, habit, or hang-up.

The Landing for Teens, LifeTools for Kids (ages, 4 years-6th grade) and Nursery (ages, up to 4 years) are also available.

What about confidentiality? Isn’t that typical for 12 Step programs?

The beauty of CR is that it allows us to be open, transparent and thankful that Christ has forgiven our past and loves us as we are. Leaders and participants join together to create a safe environment where no one feels judged no matter what they have dealt with in their lives. As in all 12 Step programs, anonymity and confidentiality are of utmost importance.

What should I expect when attending a night of CR?

An evening at CR begins with dinner and fellowship. This provides an opportunity for connecting and building community before the worship service begins. The CR service includes: praise and worship, teaching and personal testimonies from those who have experienced healing through CR. After the service, we break into small groups that are both topic and gender specific. Groups are based on the specific hurts, habits and hang-ups that individuals are facing. The evening concludes with coffee and desserts.

If I am already in a 12 Step program, would CR be beneficial?

Absolutely! CR can be complementary to any other 12 Step program. One difference you might find at CR is that we focus solely on Jesus Christ as the higher power and the healer of all hurts, habits and hang-ups.
